I am a Senior Software Engineer at Confrere, based in The Netherlands, and organiser of the NLHTML5 meetups. I'm passionate about welcoming everyone into tech and making the web work for everyone.
10 years ago, I was a .NET developer, but after going to my first front-end conference I fell in love with that community. Ever since then, I've been an active member of the community in The Netherlands. For me, RuhrJS is everything that drew me to the community, but better. It's welcoming to all new developers and the topics range far beyond just JavaScript.
Nowadays, I give talks about ethics, diversity, and inclusivity, to help make everyone feel as welcomed as I was 10 years ago.
PS. I'm unreasonably proud of my personal website.
